Note: if a taxpayer's refund will be offset to pay a past debt to the IRS and this will cause an economic hardship for the taxpayer, the site coordinator should refer the taxpayer to the IRS Taxpayer Advocate Service (TAS), at 1-877-777-4778, before the taxpayer’s return is e-filed.
